Audre Lorde

Lorde illustrates the teachers as misunderstanding of her, they didn't treat her very well, they threatened her to tell her mother.. her mother didn't come off to be very caring about the situation... I think she learned the hard way by getting in trouble so much but it turned out to be the best for her because they pushed and pushed her to do better but not necessarily in the right way, i remember hearing of dunce caps before, the story is very touching.
