Chet, Chris's boyfriend beat up knox for kissing his girl
Charlie brought girls to the cave and wants them to join group
head master asked in order to avoid expulsion for the people of the poets society to come forward.
a phone rang and the charlie picked up and said head master its for you, its god, he says we need to have girls at this school.
charlie got in trouble and got the paddle for his punishment
head master wanted names for the society while he was giving charlie the paddle.
the head master wanted Charlie to turn everyone in, and apologize to the school . and neil said no don't do it
john keating gave the boys a talk about speaking out in public and said that they would get kicked out of his class if they kept it up.
neil went to visit his father and his father told him he was disappointed and he better not let him down with med school and to quit this poet society immediately.
neil went to visit mr.keating and had a talk with him about what father said and keating was listening.
knox brings flowers to the school for chris to apologize for kissing her the other night and wrote her a poem and tells her he loves her and she said she cant and to forget it. he walks into class and wants to read the poem to her, starts to read it to her in front of class, she has her head in her hands.
Knox's friends surround him and ask him about the poem he wrote chris and wanted to know if he read it and what she said he didn't answer and they chased him down the halls
neil is talking to keating again and telling him his father isn't happy and that his father will be gone for 4 days so he'll be gone for the show.
chris shows up to the boys side of school and knox and his group see her but let her know she can't be there. she is telling knox to stop this stuff and she says she could care less about him and he said then she wouldn't be here warning him about chet. he asks her to go to she show with him she says her boyfriend would freak out he offers her to be sneaky and give her the dead poets honor and she says he is so infuriating and goes to the show with him.
neils father showed up at the show and everyone cheered for neil in the end because he did such a great job while his father was standing in the back then his father stayed until after the show and took neil with him immediately his father told mr. keating to stay away from his son, threw him in the car and sped off.
neils father yells at him wants him to go to med school to become a doctor. he says he has opportunities of a life time and neil says to his father, " you have no idea how I feel" and his father screams back and says, "what is it? more of this acting business??? because you can forget that... what?" Neil replies, "Nothing."
mother feels sympathetic for him as he explains to her how great he did in the play. she replies "go and get some sleep" and starts crying herself to sleep and the husband says everything is going to be alright.
neil gets up in the middle of the night and gets his fathers gun out of his cabinet and shoots himself in the head. his father and mother run in screaming once his father sees the smoke and smells the smoke from the gun.
the next day the school sings a song for neil while everyone is in tears, the headmaster gives a speech
red head student (Richard) blames keating on everything and says he put them up to it all and if he hadn't gotten in the way neil would still be alive and studying his chemistry right now, because of that statement knox punches him in the face.
head master had all the boys sign a paper stating that mr keating was the on who led neil to kill himself and it was because of his actions he should be fired effective immediately
as the head master tries to teach the class and mr keating is grabbing his stuff, charlie speaks up and says to mr keating they made them all sign it and he knows its not true and that it wasn't mr keatings fault. head master replies and tells mr keating to leave the classroom immediately. charlie stands up on his desk and says "oh captain my captain" and then all the other students start standing on top of their desks and the head master is yelling at everyone to get down off their desks.
